2nd quarterly report – December 2018 to February 2019 with HighVolt in Germant and Dynamic Ratings in Wisconsin

I was awarded an ES Cornwall Scholarship in September 2017 to spend 12 months working for transformer manufacturers and related suppliers in south east Asia and Europe investigating power transformer design, manufacture and testing processes.

My second report (accessible here) describes experiences I had:

1)  At HIGHVOLT in Germany, where I completed several acceptance tests for an impulse generator (up to 2400 kV cumulative charging voltage), and learnt how to use the software tool OrCAD Capture/PSPICE.

2)  I also worked for 3 months with Dynamic Ratings in Wisconsin – working with with different utility customers to learn about their individual asset management strategies and requirements
